Everyone is welcome!

“I invite all Christians, everywhere to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them.” Pope Francis

Pope Francis’ invitation is to all people everywhere. Everyone is welcome. So, too at All Saints Parish.

The first step in our sacramental process is encountering Jesus in the worshipping community. It’s a chance to get to know us and let us get to know you.

An encounter with Jesus will help believe deep down within you that

Jesus loves you. He lived, died and rose again to give you a new life.                He is with you every day to help you live as a disciple.

Sacraments of Initiation

Sacramental Information Brochure
This brochure explains our Sacramental Journey of Discipleship in detail. It also includes key dates and events for 2023. Our process begins a full 12 months before receiving the sacrament.

Connect Card-Sacramental Process                                                                                This Sacramental Connect Card is especially for families who have been regularly worshipping with our community at Mass, and whose children feel drawn to receiving the sacraments of confirmation or communion. Pick one up at Mass, complete and drop it in a collection plate or email it back to us. One of our team will be in touch.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising (initiating) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Mt 28:19-20)

With this Great Commission from Jesus, and in keeping with Pope Francis’ call, our parish is moving towards becoming a more missionary parish. That is, to act intentionally on the call of our baptism to be active disciples of Jesus.

We warmly welcome anyone seeking the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) to think of it as not so much as a programme but more of a process forming a community of committed, passionate disciples.

We learn to become a disciple but ‘doing’ disciple in 4 ways:

      • Listening to God’s Word & Church teachings
      • Being Welcomed and welcoming in our parish community
      • Worshipping by coming to Mass
      • Witnessing through service with the community

To help form disciples, we are moving away from our past programme-style format and moving towards an ongoing, family-friendly process without specific beginning and end dates. Experiencing Jesus regularly in the Mass and connecting with the worshipping community will be at the heart of becoming fully initiated disciples.

So, the first step is to join us at Mass, say hello and let us know how we can help. We can’t wait to meet you!

God bless,

Fr Josekutty Vadakkel CMI          and             Anne Frawley-Mangan
